Cathy Marques

Cathy Marques serves as the Associate Director of Academic Affairs at Newcomb-Tulane College (NTC). Originally from New Jersey, Cathy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish from Davidson College and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University. Prior to joining NTC, Cathy worked in various roles and functional areas within higher education with a focus on promoting student success including residence life, college access, orientation, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Hunter Jones

Hunter brings many years of experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, web development and event management to Newcomb-Tulane College. His career in higher education began as an undergraduate at Baylor University, where he worked as a Peer Instructor for two years teaching World Cultures I & II and helping first-year students adjust to collegiate life. This role ignited a passion in him.

Eddy Cruz

Edward Cruz is the Assistant Dean & Executive Director of Tulane University’s NTC Career Services. He leads the NTC Career Services team, in collaboration with campus partners, to offer tailored career services that meet the needs of all Tulane students. As a first-generation college student and student mentor, he is passionate about serving the needs of this community specifically. Eddy believes representation matters, and his team shares in this value.

Robert Connor

As the Director of EAPP, Robert Connor is responsible for helping students learn and teach English. He's been here for 8 years and during that time has enjoyed seeing students develop in better ways when academic theories realize their full potential. Robert works hard to create a culture of learning and adaptation among all students through concrete applications of research. He's been a reviewer for the Commission on English Accreditation and the South African National Research Foundation as well as a chair of the English for Special Purposes at international TESOL.

Annie Gibson

Annie Gibson is the Director of Study Abroad and an Administrative Associate Professor. She works to ensure that the entire study abroad process, from recruitment and advising through students’ experiences in the field and upon return to Tulane, align with best practices in the field and with the OSA’s learning goals for intercultural learning. Her work with students – teaching and mentoring them on language acquisition, development of place-based awareness, intercultural competency and self-awareness, flexibility, and adaptability – is what her drives her.

Andrew Squitiro

Andrew administers the Office of Undergraduate Research for Newcomb-Tulane College. He received his B.A. in Literature from University of Missouri and his M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Old Dominion University. Prior to joining Tulane University, he taught English Composition for three years at Delgado Community College. He believes that research is vital to the mission of a university, and that involving students in that research process early and often has a high impact on student and faculty achievement.

Rosie Yates

Rosie Yates serves as the Director of Academic Enrichment. Rosie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Religious Studies from Elon University, a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education from Louisiana State University, and a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Tulane University. She has been at Tulane for the past 5.5 years in various roles within Newcomb Tulane College, including most recently as the Assistant Director in the Office of First-Year Experience.

Cristina Lawson

Cristina started her career in Nashville, supporting young adults in the foster care system through career and academic pursuits. From this experience, she realized she was drawn to working with students during this time of self-authorship and transition and found her way onto college campuses in Boston, Atlanta, Asheville, and, now, New Orleans. Prior to Tulane, Cristina managed programs around internships and career development, student formation, and the residential experience.

Monique Hodges

Monique M. Hodges is the Assistant Dean for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, (NTC), where she provides overarching support to the college in the areas of finance, budget management and operations. She also serves as the dean’s liaison on NTC faculty committees and supports the university-wide Academic Integrity function. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University and a Masters in Liberal Arts from Tulane University, with a curriculum focused on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Casey Love

Casey is Associate Dean and Director of the NTC Center for Global Education at Tulane University. She also serves as Co-Director of the Altman Program in International Studies and Business at Tulane and is a Senior Professor of Practice in the Department of Political Science.  She teaches courses on US immigration policy, Mexican politics, U.S.-Latin American relations, comparative politics, and globalization.
