Biography
Monique M. Hodges (she/her) serves as the Assistant Dean for Engagement and Opportunity at Newcomb-Tulane College (NTC), where she provides strategic leadership across college-wide initiatives that support student success, inclusive excellence, and equity-centered engagement.
Monique is deeply connected to faculty, staff, and students across campus, offering advanced support that touches on multiple facets of the Dean’s Office and Tulane University. She has been a dedicated member of the Tulane community since 2009 and brings a wealth of experience in organizational leadership, public-facing programming, and administrative operations.
She earned her Bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University and a Master of Liberal Arts from Tulane University, where she concentrated her studies on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Monique is a proud alumna of Tulane’s School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) and currently serves as an adjunct instructor, where she has created and taught interdisciplinary and culturally relevant coursework—including a First-Year Seminar on cultural diversity—since 2016.
Outside of her professional roles, Monique enjoys traveling and writing and cherishes time with her husband and two young sons.
