Biography

Monique M. Hodges (she/her) serves as the Assistant Dean for Engagement and Opportunity at Newcomb-Tulane College (NTC), where she provides strategic leadership for college-wide initiatives that advance student success, inclusive excellence, and equity-centered engagement.

Monique is deeply connected to faculty, staff, and students across campus, offering high-level support that touches multiple facets of the Dean’s Office and Tulane University. A dedicated member of the Tulane community since 2009, she brings a wealth of experience in organizational leadership, public programming, and administrative operations.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and a Master of Liberal Arts from Tulane University. Since 2016, Monique has also served as an adjunct instructor, developing and teaching interdisciplinary, culturally relevant courses, including a First-Year Seminar on cultural diversity. She has presented at local and international conferences on topics related to equity and academic excellence.

Monique also serves on several university committees, including the Tulane History Project, where she supports the work of the Executive Director by serving as a resource and sounding board, providing valuable feedback and insight as the project expands research into Tulane’s history.

Outside of her professional roles, Monique enjoys traveling, writing, and spending time with her family.
