Sara Arteaga

Biography

Sara Arteaga is an international student from Ecuador studying Architecture at Tulane University. Passionate about design, community engagement, and leadership, she sees the Dean’s Ambassador Program as a way to give back to a community that has shaped her growth. To Sara, leadership is about empathy, reliability, and action. Her experiences—ranging from building schools in the Ecuadorian Amazon to volunteering with Operation Smile—have taught her the value of listening, collaboration, and cultural humility. At Tulane, she continues to build on these values through involvement in ALPHA, Strong City, TUSTEP, and The Charrette. Sara is committed to fostering inclusion and supporting students—especially those navigating new cultural spaces. She brings strong organizational skills, a dedicated work ethic, and a deep passion for service to her role as a Dean’s Ambassador, where she is excited to uplift student voices and contribute to meaningful change on campus.
