Meonyez Goodwin

Biography

Meonyez is from Cleveland, Ohio, and she earned her BA in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from The College of Wooster. After graduation, she moved to New Orleans to serve as a trainer with The Posse Foundation where she mentored scholars, led workshops on social issues, and provided academic support to students at Case Western Reserve University and the University of Notre Dame.

In 2021, Meonyez joined Tulane University as an Academic Success Coach, bringing her warm, optimistic approach to helping students develop intentional strategies and navigate campus resources. She then transitioned to a Senior Program Coordinator for the Office for Foundation Scholars, where she designed and managed engaging programs that boosted retention and fostered fellowship among Posse, College Track, and underrepresented students.

Now serving as the Assistant Director for Student Governance, Meonyez supports student leaders in creating inclusive initiatives that foster civic engagement and community connection. She is passionate about helping students discover their strengths, set ambitious goals, and maximize their personal and academic success at Tulane.
