Newcomb-Tulane College is the undergraduate college for all full-time Tulane undergraduate students. The College supports each student’s academic, career, and life goals from orientation through graduation and beyond, regardless of their chosen degree program.
As one college that provides a diverse student body with the freedom and flexibility to personalize their education across five schools, Newcomb-Tulane College delivers a unique undergraduate experience that allows each student to shape their own path to success.
Led by Dean James M. MacLaren, the College comprises a variety of units, programs, and offices that work together to steward an undergraduate academic experience that recognizes and supports each student, celebrates diversity, and fosters development in and out of the classroom.
Students are encouraged to explore their passions through scholarship, international study, research, and artistic pursuits. Academic advisors, career planning professionals, success coaches, and tutors are available to help students succeed academically, while planning for their future careers. Grants are available for research, travel, projects, and internships. And a variety of programs are offered to connect students to educational seminars, events, and co-curricular opportunities.
