What is the revised academic calendar for Spring 2022?

The first day of class for undergraduates is Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022. The two mid-semester breaks, for Mardi Gras and for Spring break, will still take place on their scheduled dates, and the end-of-semester study days, finals and commencement will remain in their scheduled places. The full, updated academic calendar can be found on the Registrar's website.

I have an incomplete from Fall 2021. Is that still due on the same date?

The final date for instructors to submit grades for incomplete courses from the fall 2021 semester is Friday, February 4, 2022. If you think you will need an extension for your incomplete, please contact your instructor and your NTC academic advisor for information and help with the process for requesting an extension.

I’m a Spring Scholar. When should I come to campus? When is Spring Orientation?

Spring Orientation Information

Monday, January 17, 2022: Move-In day for new students participating in Panhellenic Recruitment. Additional details will be provided by Housing and Residence Life.
Friday, January 21, 2022: Move-In Day for new students who are not participating in Panhellenic Recruitment. Additional details will be provided by Housing and Residence Life.
Saturday, January 22, 2022: Programming for new students. Details will be provided in January.
Sunday, January 23, 2022: Spring Orientation! Spring Orientation Info
- Students will receive a personalized schedule through their Tulane email address. This program is required for all new Tulane students.

I have a pending academic integrity case. Will the new academic start date affect my ability to move through this process?

The Office of Academic Integrity will hold Honor Board hearings on all pending cases January 7 through Jan 21. If you have any questions, please contact Rachel Champagne.

I’m an international student. Does this change affect my visa status?

Please contact the Office of International Students and Scholars with questions about your visa status.

I’m a new international student, arriving to Tulane for the first time. Will there still be an orientation?

Yes, NTC’s Center for Global Education and the Office of International Students and Scholars will have orientation on January 20, and will be in touch with students about the time and location.

I want to talk to/meet with my academic advisor, pre-professional advisor, success coach, career counselor, study abroad advisor or someone else who works at NTC before Jan. 25. Are staff available?

Yes, all Newcomb-Tulane College staff return to work on Jan. 5. We'll have Zoom appointments available for you. Please visit department websites to schedule your appointment(s).

What about fellowship advising?

The Office of Fellowship Advising is also open starting Jan. 5. Contact FellowshipAdvising@tulane.edu.

I am interested in applying to become a College Scholar. What are the new deadlines?

The application will be available on Jan 18 and the deadline is now Jan 28.
