Roger ErvinRoger Ervin is the president and CEO of Blumont, Inc., which provides relief and development programs in war zones and other vulnerable areas. Ervin has successfully restructured and rebranded the company (formerly known as International Relief and Development, Inc.) since his arrival in November 2014, overcoming challenges that arose under previous leadership. Having worked for over 25 years in various capacities in government, the private sector, and academia, Ervin recently served as Senior Vice President for Global Markets at LMI, a 52-year-old consulting firm specializing in business performance management. He also previously completed an appointment with Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle, where he managed the state’s finances as Secretary of Revenue. In prior years, Ervin worked as a Principal at the law firm of Foley and Lardner, and founded an international consulting firm that advised Fortune 500 businesses on risk management practices in overseas operations. In the 1990s, he was appointed by President Bill Clinton as U.S. Commercial Envoy to Africa and as a senior diplomat in the U.S. Department of State, and he began his government service as an economic policy advisor under Senator Joseph Biden. He has served as a director on several non-profits, and has also taught public sector management at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Department of Political Science and the School of Business. Ervin holds a B.S. from Tulane University and an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
