The Mussafer Internship Initiative ensures that every student in Newcomb-Tulane College can pursue paid internships, mentorships and real-world career experiences with confidence.

Not all professional development looks the same, but all professional experience deserves fair payment. Whether you found your opportunity via on-the-ground networking, or online through resources like Handshake, we’d like to support your growth.

If you are a student who has been accepted for an unpaid or underpaid opportunity, we invite you to apply for supplemental funding. To do so please provide:

1. Signed internship offer, including how many hours you are contracted to work
2. Internship supervisor contact information
3. Budget request
4. Description of how the experience aligns with your career goals

Applications will open in February, and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The deadline to apply for summer experience funding is April 29th. The deadline to apply for fall experience funding is July 29th.
