NTC Faculty Committees
Newcomb-Tulane College faculty committees address issues that impact all full-time undergraduate students, including curricular matters, major advising, and study abroad.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee shall be composed of seven faculty members, the secretary of the faculty (ex officio), and the dean of the Newcomb-Tulane College as chair. The committee shall meet on call of the dean, and a meeting must be called when requested by three or more of its members.
Executive Committee duties include:
- To serve as an advisory committee to the dean on any matter of administration
- To receive and act on routine reports of ordinary standing and special committees
- To act for the faculty at the direction of the faculty
- In addition to its annual report, the committee shall issue special reports when appropriate

Curriculum Committee
The NTC Curriculum Committee deals with all matters relating to the College's Core Curriculum, as well as academic programs that involve more than one school.

The final deadlines for courses seeking Core attributes are as follows:
For Spring/Summer 2026 Courses:
- Friday, August 29, 2025: Permanent courses must reach the NTC Curriculum Committee Coordinator in CIM by this date.
- Friday, September 19, 2025: Priority deadline for Special Topics course review. Please note that Special Topics courses can only carry Core attributes TWICE before they must be submitted to the NTC Curriculum Committee as permanent courses. Departments can request Core attributes for Special Topics courses via CLSS for NTC review.

This committee shall make recommendations on policies and procedures pertaining to the Code of Academic Conduct to the faculty and the committee appoints panels for hearing appeals of honor board verdicts.
